On this week's episode of the Millennials and Money Podcast, our guest and Real Estate Agent with Remax Tyson Redmond shared his Money Story. Tyson grew up in the Bay Area where he was a high school track star, his father was an accountant and his mom was a Real Estate Broker. Growing up so close to Real Estate Tyson was determined to have nothing to do with it, he was content with the office job he got out of high school where he was earning a comfortable salary that he used to purchase his first home. Tyson’s world changed when he had his son, after a custody battle with his son's mother left him buried in debt and legal fees he was forced to short sell his house. Tyson saw Real Estate as the conduit between his current position and where he desired to be. He got his start working for his mom delivering repossession notices to homeowners whose properties were being repossessed by the bank. Eventually, Tyson went on to get his Real Estate License where it took him seven months to make his first sale but it was all worth it. Be sure to tune in next week to hear part two of “I slang houses for a living” with Tyson Redmond.
