One can never get tired of God’s blessings. His kindness is ever-flowing. We know these and recognize them. Today we will speak on His Mercies. He pities us and gives us great mercy.

Mercy is the compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone who is within one’s power to punish or harm.

We all deserve to be punished. No one is good even those that think they do good. No matter how much good one does it will never grant you access to Heaven. We are all sinners, we all have sin and it’s that sin that separates us all from God. God sent His son to earth for the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. His mercy is what brought Him but it’s His tender mercies that save those that believe. It pleases God to forgive those who ask for forgiveness.

His mercies reach for us daily even though we don’t deserve it. Forgiveness despite our downfallen nature. If you are unmoved by His continuing mercy then you need to check yourself.

Have you repented? It’s the only thing that He asks from you. He’s done enough for your soul already.

Think about the day that you woke up on the wrong side of the bed. When you wake up and think you’re done with God and His blessings. Stubbornness and ill towards Him. He still extends His mercy even though He knows you dislike Him. All He’s waiting for is for you to reach back out to Him and ask for forgiveness. When you finally ask for help from God and He gives it you won’t know what to do but to thank Him.

Change your prayers and ask God to give His mercy to those who know better. Those that are in need and don’t want to accept it. Those who are backslid and who know better yet choose to live a life of rebellion. Ask God to extend His mercy so that they will come to repentance before death so that they don’t have to answer for all of their backslid lifestyles.

If you stood before God right now how would He judge you? Would you have dirty hands? Would your soul be guilty of sin? How will you answer Him once He starts pointing out your sin, your rebellious heart?

Two men, a beggar, and a rich man. Both of them died one day. The angels came down and carried the beggar into Abraham’s bosom. The rich man upon his death lifted his eyes in Hell. At that time he asked Abraham to have mercy on him. He wanted a drop of water and to warn his brothers not to come to Hell. What he requested first though was mercy.
