Hopes for the Future of DC Studios

With the end of January now behind us, it seems like this might be an odd time to be discussing hopes for the future of DC Studios. After all, James Gunn said that we would learn about the beginning of the slate before the end of the month. Despite Gunn holding to his word, we wanted to share our hopes before announcing the slate.

Before we get into that, there were a couple of other topics to discuss for the past two weeks. We have a small update on our DC 5G episode with Mikel Janin conveniently releasing some art from the event that never came to be. We also learned what would happen with Mark Hamill voicing Joker now that his long-time acting partner is gone. Finally, there is a new animated film coming, and the trailer has been released. Time to dissect the trailer and discuss if we are looking forward to this new Elseworlds tale.

After we get through the news, Dustin and BJ discuss the hopes for the future of DC Studios. What will the new slate mean for existing projects? Which new projects are we hoping for? Which current projects could end because of the new direction? All of this and more can be found on the latest episode of The Batman Universe Podcast.
