Maybe you are familiar with the movie War Room that came out in 2015? It was a film on prayer by the Kendrick Brothers (Fireproof, Courageous, Facing the Giants) that reached #1 in its second week. My friends Roland and Angela Mitchell had no idea how much the film would impact their lives until the Kendrick Brothers came to their house and asked if they could use it as the location of their movie!
What could seem to be a superficial, exciting opportunity actually held very deep, personal meaning to the Mitchell family. In this episode, Roland and Angela share about the devastating loss of their teenage son, Coleman, and how the movie and its message played a role in bringing redemption to both Coleman's story and their own. They share how God has helped them go from loss to legacy as they allowed Him to continue to write His story. You will be impacted by their journey from pain to promise and from loss to legacy.
Not only did God use the movie War Room but He partnered them with a ministry in Uganda that their son Coleman had intended to work with in the years to come. They now serve in leadership with that ministry as they steward Coleman's legacy and their own passion for the children of Uganda through a home they have built there to serve those in need.
