Have you ever finished the box of crackers or the package of cookies, just to get it out of the house? Have you ever eaten your kids’ leftovers because you don’t want to let the food go to waste? Or maybe you’ve looked at something leftover in the fridge and thought, “Well I might as well eat this because no one else in the family will.”

Not letting food “go to waste” can be one of the toughest, most deeply ingrained roadblocks that we face. There are lots of reasons why that belief is so deeply entrenched in our brains.

Today we’re going to talk about why it’s hard to let food go to waste.

Then we’ll walk through 4 different ways to look at the idea of wasting food and shifting your perspective on it.

And finally, we’re going to walk through a very specific exercise to dismantle that old belief and allow you to open up to the possibility that that old narrative may not be serving you and you can make a new choice.
