Bolanle Akinronbi M.D is a board certified, residency trained physician in Psychiatry - a field devoted to the treatment of brain and mental health conditions. She is the founder and CEO at BrightMindsMD - a private psychiatry practice in NJ where together with her team, she offers a unique and whole person approach to treatment. Her treatment recommendations follow a wholistic model. This model accounts for the contributions of childhood experiences, genetic predisposition, environmental and social stressors, co-occurring illnesses, nutrition deficiencies, current function and activity to disease AND a pathway to improve them using a hybrid of medication and lifestyle/behavioral modifications.

Dr. Bolanle knows that we all can live a meaningful life and the foundation for this is laid in our minds beliefs, habits and relationships. She shares this message and tools via writing, speaking and consultations. She received both her undergraduate and graduate medical education at Rutgers and Rutgers - New Jersey Medical School (formerly UMDNJ). She completed her postgraduate residency training in Psychiatry at the Zucker Hillside Hospital (formerly of NorthShore-LIJ) in Queens New York. She is a wife and mom of 2. She enjoys cultural exploration via travel and dance.
