A yogi is empowered with a pristine mind that is free of clutter of thoughts & emotions, able to perceive with clarity and bring the mind to empowering focus the problem solves, manifests and remains in peace & inner harmony.

Through our daily yoga practice, we are able to enhance the power of trataka.

The process:

  1. Start our practice of yoga lighting our Lamp.
  • Invoke Divine Presence
  • Be guided in our inner journey through yoga.
  • Lighting the external Lamp is lighting our inner Lamp
  • Lighting the Lamp is creating a safe vortex that protects us from injuries.
  • Utilize the Lamp as in focus, trataka
  • Focus on the golden color of the fire to feel our aura within golden
  • Align our yoga practice as prayers

  1. Focus on the Lamp
  • Bring awareness to each breath as though we are the golden flame.
  • Utilize the golden flame to subdue the mind
  • Recite mantras invoking the Divine Presence through the Lamp
  • Feel our effortless focus like pouring oil - in gentle flow
  • Utilize the imagery of the golden Lamp with eyes closed through postures
  • Dissolve the I of mind into the We of wisdom in gazing

  1. Through each asana
  • Breath- slower and lengthen breath to subdue mind
  • With optimal breath, hold awareness of bliss in the pristine mind of no thoughts
  • Hold the mind in singular focus through the flow of each posture.
  • Focus on the Divine Presence within the mantra fires through our yoga
  • Open eyes to look and focus at the Lamp to do postures requiring balance
  • Expand in the Core Light within through the postures.

  1. Through meditation
  • Utilize the mantra to invoke Divine Presence
  • Let the mind rest in the Divine Presence to purify and incubate
  • Go within to experience the joy & bliss of the Dance within & be the stillness
  • Transcend mind to be like an eagle beyond emotions, memories and mind clutter
  • In the inner focus through third eye, sustain the gaze within
  • Like the Lamp lit, experience the mind alight.
