Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. So this past week I was hired for a private event where I was told to play 70's and 80's disco music for four hours, using just four songs as inspiration. Those four songs were "Private Dancer" by Tina Turner, "I'm Your Boogie Man" by KC and The Sunshine Band, "Borderline" by Madonna, and "Heart of Glass" by Blondie. Here's a selection of some of the songs I played that night — all recognizable hits!
