Ever wondered how Tom Stephan created the name Superchumbo?

On this episode, I sit down with Tom and talk about his life in London, his music career and his sobriety. I’ve played a lot of his records over the years, and still play his new productions. I know a lot of you DJs can also say the same. For my dancers, party goer’s and club kids out there, you have danced to his music for hours on end. He opened up about overcoming addiction, the 12 steps and touring as a sober DJ. I found a lot of inspiration in our conversation, and I know you will find some as well.

In this episode you will discover:

- Tom’s first love of music

- Tom’s influences in electronic music

- Tom’s falling in love with House Music

- How he came up with the name Superchumbo

- Tom’s creative process and flow in the studio

- Who he listens to when not working in the studio

- Sobriety thru the 12 Steps
