Two times European Champion, Olympics athlete and fastest man in the Spain, in this episode of Homestretch w/Adrian Durant we have with us Spanish Track and Field athlete, Bruno Dominix Hortelano Roig. He is not only a champion athlete but also a Braveheart in real life. In 2016, after winning Gold medal in European Championships in Amsterdam and running for the country in Rio Olympics, just when he was at the peak of his career a tragedy happened in his life. Bruno suffered a serious hand injury in a car accident and undergone multiple operations and surgeries. He could have broken completely at that time but he chose to fight back and came out stronger than ever and went on to break the Spanish 200m and 400m records and also won a Bronze Medal in 2018 European Championships in Berlin.

In this interview, Bruno will share his life story from becoming an Ivy League Champion to winning Gold in the European Championship and participating in Rio Olympics where he narrowly missed to qualify for the 200m finals. He also describes the surprising moment when he founded he actually won European gold during his post-race interview. Serious injuries are the worst nightmare for any athlete. Bruno and I will also talk about how he kept himself mentally and emotionally strong during the tragic times. This will definitely be a motivational athlete story who recovered from injury and came out as a champion.
