Have you ever had that experience where someone says or does something that throws you totally off your game? Does your reaction catch you off guard, with you asking yourself, “Where did that come from?” Well, that means you’ve been triggered, with that word or event bringing up unresolved issues you’ve either been avoiding or simply don’t realize you have. And when it happens again and again it prevents you from achieving your goals and living life authentically.

So how do you recognize what triggers you? And what can you do to resolve these issues so they don’t have a negative emotional effect on you anymore? Those are some of the questions that my guest, holistic therapist and speaker Edit B. Kiss tackles in this lively discussion. Edit tells us:

· the difference between external and internal triggers and how to identify them

· why talk therapy doesn’t resolve these kinds of issues

· how to release buried trauma

· what kind of meditation can help identify the root causes of trauma

· an effective way to master your thoughts and emotions

· why it’s difficult to forgive

· the right amount of time it takes to heal

If you are looking for a new way to continue on your healing journey, check out this discussion on this insightful episode of Dream Power Radio.
