Jefferson Jay - Amplifying Voices: The Creative Vision Behind Disability Representation in Media
Manage episode 455346490 series 3374080
I'm a passionate creator, director, and advocate committed to amplifying the voices of individuals with disabilities through innovative and meaningful storytelling. As the founder of Everybody One, a nonprofit dedicated to championing disability representation, I am pioneering projects that spotlight talent and experiences often underrepresented in mainstream media.
Currently, I'm thrilled to be developing a groundbreaking animated holiday musical series, "The Hunt for the Holiday Spirit," which celebrates diversity and inclusion at its core. I've directed multiple episodes of a heartwarming stage show featuring actors with disabilities and written 24 episodes for this unique project, which aims to bring a full cast of actors with disabilities to the screen. I am actively seeking funding and a network home for this series to bring this vision to a broader audience.
