Ever thought about going sober? I've got several friends and family members who have either drastically cut down or stopped drinking all together. I personally have dialed it back big time from my 20's and 30's. To me, I love the clarity, the way my body feels and the amazing sleep I get!
But there may be things about going sober that you don't know. Like when to do it, or what is the hardest part, what to expect from your body, how long does it take to feel good, how do you know if you have a problem, can you still have fun, will you like yourself? Will you even know yourself?
Courtney Anderson is here to help. She hosts a podcast called Sober VIbes which dives deep into the good, the bad and the just plain hard about going sober. Her frank honesty and incredible sense of humor show us that you CAN get through the really difficult things and not only survive, but thrive.
In the interview we discuss:

  • Why you don't have to be an alcoholic to want to stop drinking
  • Why it takes so much energy to be an alcoholic
  • How you may get to your breaking point with alcohol and what all people who do have in common
  • The cravings you may get when you quit drinking that you might not be expecting
  • How to handle if your partner has a drinking issue
  • What Courtney says about AA and other similar programs
  • The surprising connection between drinking and eating disorders
  • Tools to stay on track if you stop drinking
