This week, Andrew and Catherine are joined by two guests, John Anthony Loffredo, and Piera Van de Wiel, two of the co-founders of HERE. Artists Collective. HERE strives to champion the work of LGBTQ+ artists, by presenting traditional narratives through a queer perspective. Join these four artists as they discuss queer art and casting as well as how to create and produce art on a limited budget. We also talk about some favorite interviews, movies, and tv shows right now (a discussion of Jonathan Van Ness of Netflix's Queer Eye may or may not ensue).
CORRECTION: We wanted to note that when referencing the lack of openly queer actors in Barry Jenkin’s “Moonlight,” we were referencing the actors portraying Chiron and Kevin. Janelle Monae—who played Teresa—is an openly queer woman and artist.
